“This is the longest process I’ve been through making an album” – Wiz Khalifa

Wiz hasn’t missed a beat over the last few years with some high profile singles that has kept him in our playlists.
Ever since his rise from Pittsburgh, there has been a number of albums and records that captured an audience like no other.
He recently sat down with GQ magazine and spoke about some of the hits that built him up as an artist to where he is today.
The full Youtube interview:
Wiz’s top songs that elevated his career:
2006 – Pittsburgh Sound
2009 – This Plane
2010 – We’re Done
2011- Black and Yellow
2011 – Young wild and free
2012 – Payphone
2014 – We dem Boyz
2015 – See You Again
2017 – Something New – Off Rolling Papers 2 ft Ty Dolla $ign
These hits have been diverse and gone through different sound changes over the years.
Rolling Papers 2 is a combination of these different sounds from tracks like B Ok with a mellow reflective vibe, all the way to strong club hits like Real Rich featuring none other than Gucci Mayne.
Releasing a large body of work in an album seems to be becoming popular among big artists with Chris Brown (45 songs) and Drakes (25 songs) latest albums both in this large album range. Wiz has put together 25 tracks for this album but it was worth having every song, there are no space fillers on this one.

Snoop Dogg makes his regular appearance on Penthouse which is another strong record off the album.
Some other notable features include:
Ty Dolla $ign,
Gucci Mayne
Snoop Dogg
Curren$y
Swae Lee
Lil Skies
It would be daunting to see how the fans would react after not releasing an album in quite a while, having been studying the art of Muay Thai and on a strict gym regime according to BigBoyTV interview among other things occupying his time.
This album is definitely his best work to date and has been worth the wait.
